The Simplest DIY Toddler Costume

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

It's that time of the year again & the kids are beginning to have fun Halloween events lined up for them. This will be Joaquin's 3rd year joining in on the fun and just recently, his school held their annual Halloween celebration, too. I wasn't sure I wanted to let him attend since I initially found their fees expensive, and by the time I decided he could go it was too late to prep a detailed costume. I certainly didn't want to purchase either! So to make use of what we already have minus the hassle of any sewing, and adhere to the guidelines of "no gruesome or gory costumes", Joaquin went as a hobo!

para realistic :P

All we needed aside from his actual clothes (wrinkled to look untidy), was the signage to bring the whole look together :) As expected, all kids were in store-bought costumes, but this dude still managed to receive tons of praises. Yay!

Until next year!

    1. Exactly - super easy. All I actually needed was to make him look greasy and dirty - which is typical in a 3 year old boy, IMO. haha!

  5. Simple and fun which is all that matters. I once took my daughter in a holloween party where she only wore her regular ballerina looking dress and bought her a cheap fairy wings.

  6. He rocked his costume! :D I like easy DIYs like that. Usually, I'd go for whatever is available, including hand-me-downs. Haha My son went as "spiderman". Not really the entire outfit but just wearing an old random black shirt and an old spiderman cape I found in the closet. LOL

    1. Me too, I try to avoid purchasing new costumes as much as it can be helped since they use it only once, and they outgrow it super fast!
