Summer Staycation

Sunday, May 17, 2015

In the hopes of getting our fill of R&R's before junior #2 arrives, I had booked us a weekend for some pool-time fun - only this time, we kept it within the city to steer clear from the lengthy travel. I snagged a deal via Agoda for F1 Hotel in BGC, a place we've never stayed in before and after checking reviews & photos of their rooms and amenities, gave it a go!

F1 Hotel lies in the middle of bustling Bonifacio Global City, so it's perfectly situated near malls and a myriad of restaurants - really good for us as we're not too much keen on ordering food service because we feel it's rarely sulit. We checked in on a Friday, swam, ate, swam some more, and just indulged in much warranted rest and bumming around.

this is how the Deluxe King really looks without

Pool number 2

This little guy had such a blast swimming, especially since he started to get the hang of holding his breath underwater, floating & treading a bit. What floaters?!

end result of a fun summer weekend:
sun kissed little man!

Duration of stay: 3 days 2 night
Total budget: approx. P13,000.00
  • Accommodations: P11,500 including daily breakfast (buffet) for 2
  • Food: P3,500 (lunch and dinner availed from restos around BGC)

What we enjoyed:
  • The Deluxe King room we booked was spacious enough for us, with enough seating when we decided to stay in & bed space for hubby, me & Don Joaquin
  • The quality and selection of food included in the breakfast buffet was above average, kept warm and would cater to a wide range of ages, culture, and preferences
  • The staff responded promptly to requests (i.e. bringing over a universal adaptor for our laptop, housekeeping, etc.)
  • The pool area was well-maintained and were enough accommodate a lot of guests at a given time
  • It's in the middle of major establishments, perfect for people who want instant access to everything & anything

What could've been better:
  • The food menu for the room service was ridiculously expensive (P600 for snacks and P800 up for meals) for so-so dishes
