It's seldom that we get to try new restos these days, given that we have a toddler tagging along & we almost always choose the tried & tested to stick to some predictability and save the spontaneity for our once-in-a-blue-moon due nights. So when we do go for new food finds, I find it instantly worth sharing.

We dined at Project Pie a few weeks ago & the place is just a pizza lover's heaven. Why? Because you can create your dream pizza from scratch! You get to choose everything from the sauce (the classic tomato or olive oil), toppings that include a whole range of meats -beef crumbs, bacon, sausages, pepperoni, et. al; cheeses like mozzarella, feta, Parmesan, and more; plus pizza favorites such as olives, bell peppers & so many others.

If you're not feeling as creative - such as I was, in addition to getting overwhelmed (LOL) - they have readily available choices that we can just modify as it pleases your palette. There's meat lovers, and a veggie one, and some I don't remember too much (sorry, I was calming a baby down then). They also have other non-pizza options if you're just in it to accompany a pizza enthusiast or just simply not in the mood to pig out.

I chose the all-meat pizza & had them add barbecue sauce which, I must say, was to-die-for. Hubby impressively stuck to is diet and ordered mixed greens for himself, which immediately earned two thumbs up for the flavor not too common with leafy salads. We were both filled to our rims by the time we finished; not bad for P280.00/person. Not. Bad. At. All.

You can try Project Pie for yourself and visit them along Shaw Blvd. in Mandaluyong, right beside Starbucks (across the SaveMore currently being constructed). They're open from 10am to 10pm daily. My suggestion would be to go earlier or later than the lunch or dinner crowds though, especially on weekends because seating can get pretty tough.
